A women-led organisation dedicated to creating lasting social change across Madhya Pradesh through health, education, environmental conservation, and women empowerment — since 2010.
Shatrupa Welfare Society is a registered women-led NGO headquartered in Subhash Nagar, Indore, Madhya Pradesh. Since our founding in 2010, we have worked tirelessly to improve the lives of underprivileged children, women, and families through education, health, and environmental action.
"With the support of volunteers and well-wishers who think of giving not as a duty but as a privilege, we spread many smiles and secure many futures."
We work alongside community members, local leaders, the BSF, HelpAge India, and government bodies to drive deep, lasting change — one village, one family, one life at a time.
Every initiative we run is anchored in these four interconnected causes — each vital to building an equitable, thriving Madhya Pradesh.
Through skill development, legal literacy, self-help groups, and entrepreneurship programs, we build a generation of independent, confident women who lead their families forward.
Literacy programs, nutrition drives, dropout prevention, and community outreach in slums — ensuring every child has the chance to learn, grow, and dream.
Health camps, digital safety training with HelpAge India & Google, abuse awareness workshops, and companionship programs to protect the dignity of our elders.
Tree plantation drives with the BSF, river clean-ups, plastic-free village campaigns, and rainwater harvesting — protecting India's natural heritage for generations to come.
Community-led and monitored for impact. Each program is designed for lasting, measurable change at the grassroots level.

In partnership with the Border Security Force (BSF), local panchayats, and community volunteers, we run annual tree plantation drives that have planted over 25,000 trees across Madhya Pradesh. The campaign also includes plastic-free panchayat certification, solar lamp distribution, and eco-education for school children. Covered by Chaitanya Lok for its scale and impact.

In collaboration with HelpAge India and supported by Google, we organise Digital Safety Training for Elders — equipping senior citizens to protect themselves from online fraud. On World Elder Abuse Awareness Day, we host conferences attended by railway officers, NGO leaders, and officials. Monthly health camps and companionship visits reach hundreds of senior citizens in underserved communities.

Our free health check-up camps bring doctors, nurses, and medical volunteers directly to underserved communities. We provide free consultations, screenings, medicine distribution, and health education for women, children, and elders. Partnering with healthcare institutions and municipal bodies, we have conducted over 30 camps serving thousands of beneficiaries across Indore.

During crises, festivals, and times of need, our volunteers carry essentials — ration kits, food packets, and daily provisions — directly to slum dwellers, the elderly living alone, and families in distress. The Annapurna Drive has distributed groceries to thousands of families across Indore, funded entirely by community contributions and CSR support.
Our Partners & Collaborators
Our work has been covered by leading newspapers across Madhya Pradesh.
Chaitanya Lok, Indore reported on Shatrupa Welfare Society's large-scale tree plantation drive at BSF premises in Indore. The article highlighted how Shatrupa, in collaboration with the BSF, planted trees as a dual initiative — protecting the environment and building immunity against pandemic outbreaks through increased green cover. The programme was appreciated by BSF DIG Ashok Yadav and received wide community support. Shatrupa Welfare Society was felicitated for their contribution.
Chaitanya Lok covered Shatrupa Welfare Society's cyber safety workshop for senior citizens, co-organised with HelpAge India at Lakshmibai Nagar. Indian elderly lose approximately $36 billion annually to online fraud — the workshop, attended by 50+ retired railway officers, provided practical guidance on identifying and reporting digital scams. Expert Dr. R. Sharma emphasised that criminals increasingly target the elderly, and awareness is the strongest protection.
