About Us

Rooted in Compassion,
Driven by Purpose

Shatrupa Welfare Society is a registered women-led NGO headquartered in Subhash Nagar, Indore, Madhya Pradesh. Since our founding in 2010, we have worked tirelessly to improve the lives of underprivileged children, women, and families through education, health, and environmental action.

"With the support of volunteers and well-wishers who think of giving not as a duty but as a privilege, we spread many smiles and secure many futures."

We work alongside community members, local leaders, the BSF, HelpAge India, and government bodies to drive deep, lasting change — one village, one family, one life at a time.

What We Stand For

Our Four Pillars of Change

Every initiative we run is anchored in these four interconnected causes — each vital to building an equitable, thriving Madhya Pradesh.

Women Empowerment

Women Empowerment

Through skill development, legal literacy, self-help groups, and entrepreneurship programs, we build a generation of independent, confident women who lead their families forward.

Child Welfare

Child Welfare & Education

Literacy programs, nutrition drives, dropout prevention, and community outreach in slums — ensuring every child has the chance to learn, grow, and dream.

Elder Care

Elder Care & Awareness

Health camps, digital safety training with HelpAge India & Google, abuse awareness workshops, and companionship programs to protect the dignity of our elders.

Environmental Conservation

Environmental Conservation

Tree plantation drives with the BSF, river clean-ups, plastic-free village campaigns, and rainwater harvesting — protecting India's natural heritage for generations to come.

Active Initiatives

Our Key Programs

Community-led and monitored for impact. Each program is designed for lasting, measurable change at the grassroots level.

Program 01 — Environmental Conservation

Harit Bharat — Tree Plantation & Green Village Campaign

In partnership with the Border Security Force (BSF), local panchayats, and community volunteers, we run annual tree plantation drives that have planted over 25,000 trees across Madhya Pradesh. The campaign also includes plastic-free panchayat certification, solar lamp distribution, and eco-education for school children. Covered by Chaitanya Lok for its scale and impact.

In collaboration with HelpAge India and supported by Google, we organise Digital Safety Training for Elders — equipping senior citizens to protect themselves from online fraud. On World Elder Abuse Awareness Day, we host conferences attended by railway officers, NGO leaders, and officials. Annapurna Drive — Food & Ration Distribution

During crises, festivals, and times of need, our volunteers carry essentials — ration kits, food packets, and daily provisions — directly to slum dwellers, the elderly living alone, and families in distress. The Annapurna Drive has distributed groceries to thousands of families across Indore, funded entirely by community contributions and CSR support.
